People from various municipalities in the province huddled in the grandstand of the Zamboanga del Norte National High School to witness personally the enjoyable and entertaining race of carabaos and horses, yesterday afternoon. Three participants joined the horse racing contest and five for the carabao race contest.

Back striding the animals, bare-foot riders wiggled piteously behind the animals back but despite of this hilarious sight, smiling faces from the riders still welcomed the onlookers, making the event a memorable and comical one to them.
