Catching of piglets for free
is indeed a fun game for everyone who watched and joined this distinctive
activity set for Hudyaka ZANORTE 2005 festival. For the second time
around, another set of “baktin catching” was made yesterday. Everyone was
howling with excitement and thrill as piglets were hopelessly pursued by
men and children who joined in the contest.

Last Monday, one Miraldo
Bagsican from the municipality of Katipunan luckily brought home the
piglet he jammed during the first batch of piglet catching. Yesterday,
another piglet was trapped in the arms of Francisco Taga from Dipolog
City. Planners of the “baktin catching” activity had also devised two
special categories, one for the youth and one for children aging 13
years-old and below.

Jepone Banawak of
Katipunan St., Dipolog City, a participant for the youth category was able
to catch the slimy piglet bathed with oil together with Editho Pialago of
Roxas for the thirteen (13) years old and below category. Taking part on
this competition is surely a breathtaking and magnificent event that
