Glen Diniay of Barangay Dampalan, Dapitan City won the Search for the Singing Star organized by the Zamboanga del Norte United Correspondents (ZNUC) last night at the ATI booth area. Julie Bicoy of Governor’s Village, Dipolog City got the second place; Rechemae Baguio of Jose Dalman got the third place; Vince Guinsan of Sapang Dalaga on the fourth place.
Other singers who did not make it to the top 4 were Ian Omandam of Titay, Zamboanga del Sur and Ryan Turno of Sindangan and Mary Jephte Nodado of Victoria Country Homes, Polanco. Onlookers flocked the place and enjoyed hearing the tuneful sonata rendered by the seven grand finalists.
ZNUC President Celestine “Nick” Carbonel
extended his gratitude to the provincial government of Zamboanga del Norte
for the support given and to the sponsors who have also continuously
supported the prestigious show. “The organization will showcase another
singing competition next year that will truly help boost up confidence to
our young local talents in our province and soon we will witness another
Regine Velasquez in the making,” Carbonel disclosed. (Abante
